The Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences has Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science (M.S.) programs on two campuses, and draws its faculty primarily from the medical and dental schools at those sites: New Jersey Medical School and Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway/New Brunswick. The programs at the two campuses differ according to the research interests of the faculty, however, their mission is the same; to develop scientists who will contribute new knowledge in the biomedical disciplines through creative research and scholarship. This is accomplished through a curriculum of course work and research training that prepares our students to critically evaluate existing knowledge and to advance the frontiers of new knowledge in the biomedical sciences.
